Fragrance aficionado Nicole Eckels launched Glasshouse Fragrances in 2006 with a spark of imagination and a belief in the power of fragrance to transform the everyday. Since its launch nearly a decade ago, Glasshouse Fragrances has quickly grown to become a leading brand in the Australian fragrance market.

Nicole was born and raised in New York and began her career as a makeup artist in SAKS Fifth Avenue. After a stint in San Francisco in corporate business and sales, Nicole decided she needed a more challenging outlet. She flew to the sunny shores of Australia with her son, looking for a sea change. It was in Australia that she found her 'true calling'. While shopping in David Jones to replace a beloved candle purchased in New York City, Nicole couldn’t find what she was looking for. Noting the high-end brands from Europe and non-fragranced, low-end brands, Nicole saw a clear gap in the market and, from a spark of imagination, Glasshouse Fragrances was born.

Sapphire Group officially launched in 2006 after Nicole spent months researching, strategising and developing a business plan. Although Nicole had no knowledge of candle making, her drive, commitment, determination and entrepreneurial spirit were the essential ingredients to the company’s quick growth. Glasshouse Fragrances quickly began to dominate the fragrance market. By taking a unique approach and anonymously gifting potential stockists, Nicole soon established a wide distribution and has not looked back since. Glasshouse Fragrances is now the leading fragrance brand in David Jones and has grown to become a local and international favourite. Sapphire Group has since extended their brand portfolio with the launch of Circa Home, a broad range of fragrance-based products designed to meet the needs of every consumer.

Today, Nicole maintains a hands-on role in the Sapphire Group as the company’s Creative Director. Most recently, she spent two years working with a team of French Perfumers in Grasse and Paris, developing a niche, bespoke fragrance range, La Maison Glasshouse. This region in France is the home of European fine fragrance and has been the birthplace of many luxury fragrance houses' finest products. It was here that Nicole developed her exceptional fragrance 'nose'.

Nicole has expert knowledge in fragrance classification, olfactory families and fragrance trends. Her wealth of knowledge, warm personality and cheeky sense of humour make her an incredibly engaging speaker.

Elizabeth Abegg is one half of sister-duo that makes up Byron Bay fashion brand Spell and the Gypsy Collective. With a background in video editing and a lot of gut instinct, Elizabeth drove the label into a global business by embracing the blogging and online shopping world.

Since this time, the brand has grown from strength to strength, employing over 50 women in Byron Bay, stocked in American online retailers Free People, Revolve and Planet Blue and gaining over 1 million followers across their social media platforms.

In 2016 the sisters were named one of Elle Online's most followed Australian brands on Instagram, and Spell & the Gypsy Collective was awarded the 2016 Australian Business of the Year at the National Telstra Business Awards. 

The idea for Health Lab was ignited when Jess was sick of boring health snacks and had no time to make her own as she was busy climbing the corporate ladder, working the 9-5 grind. She was determined to escape that and committed to changing the game when it comes to healthy eating on-the-run. So, in 2015 she began hand rolling protein balls in a small commercial kitchen with the help of family and friends.

In just over 2 years Health Lab now stocks their guilt-free goodies in over 3000 doors across Australia, and exports to China, Singapore, Hong-Kong, Malaysia, Dubai and New Zealand. Anna Polyviou, The Punk Princess of Pastry, started her culinary career in 2000 when she accepted an apprenticeship with The Sofitel Hotel, Melbourne. Anna won the “Best Apprentice in Victoria”, the prize being scholarship to work anywhere in the world to further her cooking career.

Anna followed her dreams, and took off to work in London for three years at Claridge’s Hotel; Where she had the opportunity to work under two extraordinary pastry chefs.
Anna, most prestigiously, took the top honours with the Nadell Trophy (Dessert of the Year) and also the Culinary Academy Award of Excellence for pastry. This award allowed Anna to travel to Paris to do work with renowned Pastry Chef Pierre Herme.

Anna then began work at the Shangri-La hotel in Sydney. Since then, she has transformed the pastry team, and her sell out Dessert Degustation in her pastry kitchen has put the Shangri La on the culinary map in Australia.
Anna now hosts one of Australia’s first dessert festivals, ‘Sweet Street’, where 600 sugar fanatics join together to down more than 5000 desserts. Tickets to this delicious festival literally sell out in days.

Anna has been featured on MasterChef Australia twice over the last two seasons and is currently collating a collection of her favourite dessert and pastry recipes to include in her very own cookbook due to hit the book stores in 2018.
