Gardens Theatre is a 15-20 minute walk from the city down George Street, or from South Bank Parklands, across the Goodwill Bridge.
Methods of public transport to Gardens Theatre: bus, train, ferry or CityCat.
All you need to do is go to the Translink Website, and click on the timetable links, as well as a journey planner on the right. The journey planner is extremely easy to use; just type in your address, then '2 George St, Brisbane', and it will tell you the best routes and modes of transport to get you to Gardens Theatre.
Bus: From the northern suburbs, exit at the Queen Street bus terminal (15-20 mins walk to Gardens Theatre). From the southern suburbs, exit at the Mater Hill or South Bank Busway stations (10 mins walk across the Goodwill Bridge).
Train: From the northern suburbs, exit at Roma Street Station (25 mins walk to Gardens Theatre). From the southern suburbs, exit at the South Bank Station (10 mins walks across the Goodwill Bridge). Gardens Theatre is a 5 minute walk from the QUT CityCat terminal.

Pay-and-Display short-term parking is located under the Riverside Expressway. Maximum stay is 4 hours and availability of this parking during university semesters is extremely limited. Download Gardens Point map, PDF - 215 kB
Alternatively, commercial parking is available on Charlotte Street at Wilson Parking (Brisbane Central), or you may consider parking at South Bank Parklands, which is just a short stroll across the Goodwill Bridge.
