Black coffee. Red wine. Neil Young. Overflowing wardrobe. Lots of plants. Books. That’s Jess Hatzis in a nutshell. For those that want to know more, the 31-year old co-founded Willow & Blake in 2010, a branding agency specialising in strategy, tone of voice, visual identity, social media & campaign ideation.

In 2013 she co-founded frank body – a beauty brand – with four friends. They launched their dot com in July and by December had outsourced manufacturing and localized distribution in the US & UK.
The side project turned global brand is now distributed through some of the biggest retailers in the world: Mecca, Sephora and Ulta. frank body is one of the fastest growing beauty brands in the world selling millions of products in over 150 countries.
Jess was named in Forbes ‘30 under 30’ in 2016 and as Startup Daily’s #1 Female Entrepreneur. She was named Woman of the Year by Cosmopolitan & Harpers Bazaar in 2017 alongside her co-founder, Bree Johnson. The pair won the Veuve Cliquot New Generation award 2017.

Lauren’s fast-paced lifestyle and constant desire to look polished for her job became the catalyst to the conception of Glamazon in 2013. Starting as a salon booking app and pivoting towards peer-to-peer beauty services following a merger in 2016, Glamazon has fast become Australia’s largest real-time booking platform connecting 700 freelance stylists with more then 35,000 customers. Lauren was recently featured on Ten’s Shark Tank, delivering “the most perfect presentation I’ve ever heard,” according to Shark, Steve Baxter, securing $250,000 on the show, followed by closing a Seed Round of $1m.

Teresa Truda, the CEO and Co-Founder of chozun 途赞, the world’s first travel and loyalty ecosystem to be powered by cryptocurrency and blockchain technologies. She, alongside co-founder Zia Word, is one half of the internationally renowned brand the ‘Crypto Queens’, with the pair to be featured in Crypto Rush, a Netflix Documentary released in 2018. Teresa was awarded the GBC first prize for Female Entrepreneurship across China in 2016, the Asia Super Team winner in 2016, was recognised as an iGlobal Competition finalist in 2017 and is now a Finalist for Westpac's Australian Business China Excellence Award 2018. Teresa and Zia are the first two women to launch a travel cryptocurrency and launch their ICO in the APAC region.

Nicole Kersh is the owner of a big, energetic brain. A self-described iconoclast, she recently sold her successful venture ‘4Cabling’ to private investors.
As a natural observer, watching her parents run a small electrical business from home was a dot she later joined in building the first online trade based website in Australia. Teaching herself to code, she filled a gap by using her platform to sell spare electrical products lying around the garage. From there, 4Cabling began.
Being young, feminine, gay, entrepreneurial, curious and successful in a male dominated industry has given Nicole a decade-worth of story. Having to hide so much ‘self’ has been a long, isolating and at times dispiriting journey.
Nicole will tell her story of being a young, gay women, pretending to be an old married man. Learning that authenticity is a true leader.

As a women’s empowerment organisation, we feel it’s our duty to do something about the appalling lack of diversity in the tech space and help to change the game.

So in 2018, for the second time, we’ll be exclusively showcasing female leaders in the tech space in order to inspire the next generation of tech and digital mavericks - so that women feel more included in the conversation, and more energised to take part.
